Estimated to be shipped in Q2 of this year, the BLOCKS modular smartwatch is now closer than ever. Thanks to Cubical Productions YouTube channel, we get a look at a packaged beta version of the Blocks modular smartwatch. The video didn’t cover a review of the device, but we do get to see what looks like a possible final design that is shipped to beta testers.
I’ve got to say that I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this. The device looks pretty good, the design hasn’t changed much since we last saw it, but it’s nice to see it booted and running.
When the Blocks modular smartwatch is released, it will become one of the first fully modular smart devices to be released since Dave Hakkens released the PhoneBloks video that went viral. With all the interests that we’ve had in modular smart devices, i’m amazed that a fully modular smartphone hasn’t yet hit the markets, but hopefully the PuzzlePhone will change all that.
I’m happy that Blocks is almost ready to be shipped, and you’ll definitely know when I’ve got my hands on a review unit so keep tuned.
